Set Out And Restore invests in young women's well-being and skills, so that they can grow into their own lives and contribute to the communities around them.
Who we are
Set Out And Restore is a non-profit corporation formed in North Carolina in 2023 and recognised by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) public charity. We are based in Charlotte.
The Internal Revenue Service records our work under the classification Services to Promote the Independence of Specific Populations (NTEE P80) — the category for organizations helping specific groups of people build independence. For us, that group is young women.
We are early in our life as an organization, and we are deliberately plain about that. What follows on this site is what the public record shows and what we have set out to do — not more.

What we are building
Three commitments shape the work.
Education
Learning that a young woman can carry with her — the knowledge and the qualifications that widen what is possible rather than narrowing it.
Support
Education on its own is rarely enough. Support means the encouragement, the steadiness, and the practical backing that make it possible to keep going.
Independence
The point is not dependence on us. It is a young woman able to shape her own life, and to contribute to the community she is part of.
Where we are
The organization is registered and based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is currently in Current-Active standing with the North Carolina Secretary of State.

Who leads it
Trina Duncan is the Executive Director, and founded the organization. She is recorded on the federal return as devoting twenty hours a week to it and taking no compensation.
